Is Gwen the Flavor of the Month?

I just got done playing a game where I was complimented on my "cheese deck." My opponent then went on to tell me that he wouldn't stoop to playing Gwen because she was a flavor of the month.

So, that made me curious. See, I've played about 35-40 games with this deck, and I've come across exactly one enemy Gwen. Am I just missing all the other Gwens? I thought I was pretty much the only person playing her, but according to my most esteemed opponent, she's all over the place.

I mean, I can see WHY she would be a flavor of the month. She's clearly the strongest hero out there right now. You know, what with the bows and all.

I've come up against a significant number of Gwen's, but I wouldn't say they're flavour of the month. Actually, where I'm at, it's hard to pick one hero being used more often than the others. But I'm only 258 in ranking, so not up near the top.

EDIT: Maybe the guy took a break back in 1.25/26 and has only just come back to the game

Well, I just took the liberty of going through my opponent's last 30 games, to see which heroes he fought. He went up against one Gwen before the game he just had with me, and she was played by some loser named Alazzar.

Funny, that.

I use only Gwen on my alt and others on my main, after wifi disconnect x2 on the night of release (that's your cue N3rd!) and some bad luck left my rating in tatters!

Just wanted to see how far I could get her on the board but it was days after I started using it.

I'm very sorry if anyone suffered badly, I took a few harsh lessons too!
