the deck has awesome synergy with zal's ability. Brutalis and DMT are both excellent ways to take down that last HP on 4 HP allies after zapping them.

One change I've made to the deck after running out of steam late game in a couple of games is swapping energy discharge for AoA. I find AoA is just a delay card - either it confirms a win I had lined up already or delays an inevitable loss. Energy discharge can really turn the tide though - 7 resources + brute + discharge clears even the scariest board, and it's great to use on crippled allies that a warrior's forgotten about.

I always found AoA very useful, and always had 2 ED in my decks for the previous versions, usefull vs Zaladar and Boris. -1 MC, -1 SoS, + 2 ED, maybe, for me it's better than -2 AoA, but it's also because of the way i play.

AoA came in useful one game. It held off an assault by a brutal minotaur and shadow knight for 3 rounds, allowing me to build up to enough SE to reduce my opponent and minotaur to 2 hp. I then played a sliver, only to realise I couldn't attack because of the armour. Then on my turn, the knight attacked, destroying my armour, and then attacked with the minotaur. I took 6 damage, but killed the minotaur in the process. The opponent took 2 damage, and lost the game.

Quite funny.

Recently, I seem to be on a losing streak with zaladar and I don't know why.

Maybe time to experiment with a new deck for the time being.

Lol, actually now that i'm playing with Boris i beat all the Zaladar i meet (tough match but i'm lucky :P) sorry fellow Elementalist.

Man, I just built a zaladar taht is remarkable close to your build an I've been wrecking. He appealed to me through all the wierd niche's elementals can fill. This thread is a good read for someone in my shoes. Can't wait for 1.30, zaladar is staying the same, correct?
