New Rating System

Was just wondering if the new system will be implemented in the .28 update when ratings reset happens. Wasn't sure and felt lazy to search

We will still continue to improve the rating system, such as refining the range for rating brackets in v1.29. I'm not sure if rating decay is will be in v1.29. Same with the new rating system but if not, this should be in v1.30.

We've been overdue for a rating reset for a while now. They were supposed to be quarterly but the last one was.. oh.. 7 months ago ^^.

I'm curious as to the reason for a rating reset. Seems ppl want it, but I don't understand why.

Also, if someone near your rating cannot be found, will there be an option increase the rating spread? I'd rather play someone with a higher (or lower) rating than not be able to play at all.

People got super high rated with decks like Majiya. When the next set comes out. They make ult accounts so they can stay high on the leader board without losing rating until they can find a new deck. Rating resets help with this issue.

So does that mean only a certain % of ppl can be at say 250? So if there are 1000 SE players, only 100 can have a rating of 250 and if those 100 stop playing no one else can get to 250?

I assume this is the reason for the decay proposal.

What I would love to see (but probably impossible to implement) would be for each Hero class to have a rating. For instance you would have the player's name and a symbol of the Hero class after it. (Each Hero already has a symbol so you know which armor you can use). That way I can play with T2 hero without affecting my T1 hero rating.
