-First of all I need each guild to give me the names of their players. These players post their availabilities here.

-The schedule will be based on the players availabilities.

-This is how it will work, all 3 players from one guild will play all 3 other players in a best of 3 match. The guild with the most wins, well wins!

-The tournament will be held after the release of 1.28, so 40 card minimum decks.

-When you play your opponent, you must use the same deck for the bo3, you can change decks when you play another player.

-1st turn is decided at random for 1st game, for the 2nd game the other player starts(If there's a problem, just quit and restart), the 3rd game, 1st turn is decided at random.

-If there is a freeze bug or a sync error, you restart the game.

-If there is a disconnect, the player who disconnected loses.

    -13,000 crystals is the prize

    -This ends April 9th

    Deck/Game rules?

Are players allowed to change decks/cards after every game?

Personally, I am not comfortable with having to PM the decklists to you. No disrespect there. Then again, maybe my competing members don't mind, etc. I do need to check with them.

If we have to submit decks, I would prefer to have them submitted them to the Official Organized Play Specialist, GDC.

So does Every guild play with every guild?

    Looking forward to your replies!

Thanks for pointing out that I forgot about deck rules, I edited the OP.

I understand your concern about pming the decks to me, I thought maybe GDC wanted to participate in this. It's up to you GDC, I've also send you a pm concerning the prizes. Thanks

    +1.

BDK, since its a guild war, is it possible to allow us to have free rein of the decks?

Meaning that the guilds are free to choose heroes, even during the BO3. No restriction.

This also sets the Guild War apart from the other competitions/tourneys.

Good idea, being free to change decks will also solve the pm decks to me problem. I will update the OP.

I may be the lone dissenting voice so far, but I think being able to change one's deck at any time is a bad idea. The Guild Wars would then come down to matchups and counter-picking during the 2nd and potential 3rd game. Sure, there's still uncertainty since you'll never know if your opponent will stick with their same Hero beyond game 1, as they could always choose the counter-pick to your counter-pick. But you'd still have to have multiple Heroes/Decks playtested and ready to go against a single opponent. There's no continuity that comes from that and you might as well just play a Quick Match since you have no idea what to expect. Luck then becomes a bigger factor (did you counter-pick correctly?).

The biggest reason I'm against being able to change your Hero at any time is that it decreases the amount of interaction with one's Guild and IMO weakens the flavor of the Guild War. Sure, you'll have a vested interest in the individual performance of your Guild teammates but you'd never really have to talk to them. I envisioned a Guild War where you plan strategically with your General and Admiral regarding what three Heroes you'd each play to cover certain matchup weaknesses. I imagined post-match discussions with them about why you won/lost and advice given to your teammate before they had to play the opponent you just did.

I'm fine with being able to change your deck at any time, even during the best-of-3, as sideboarding in/out cards is highly strategic and a measure of a great player. BUT, I'd push for a Hero-lock, which removes the burden of PM'ing decklists to anyone, but still retains the flavor of scouting and reporting when it comes to a war.

That's my 2 cents, feel free to blast or support me!
