I just wanna highlight 2 things to everyone reading this posts.

1. All great decks have really unexpected cards or unexpected quantity of those cards. Go check out Benumb's championship winning deck. (He's the World champion, for people who just joined SE)

(To a lesser extent, yes, it applies for my deck too.)

2. It's not an easy-to-play deck. Not everyone can master this deck.

Your deck was really bad, and you actually decided to take it into a tournament.

Yep, my deck was awful. So I'm just posting for the fun of it. Since IOS wasn't out before Q1, I just made up a random deck for the tourney, here it is:

1.27 was still very, very young when I made it, and I have tweaked this more times than I can count since the tourney, but this is what I went with:

4 Garg
4 Flayer
2 Brut
4 Bella
3 Thaddeus
4 Shadow Knight
2 Poison Arrow
2 Flame Arrow
2 Bloodlust
3 Shriek
3 Bad Santa
3 Wrath
3 Soul Seeker

4 bellas was overkill. 2-3 would have been fine.

Four flayers was overkill. 1-2 (or none) would have been fine.

Two Brutes was too little. 4 brutes all the time for me now in both my Zal and Bane decks.

I needed some 3 atk 3cc allies in there. I had none. This was very bad since those guys are handy at just about any point in the game, and it's just way too crucial to have a 3cc ally on t3 for my Bane and Zal decks (though for Bane it's viable to throw an arrow instead, depending on situation).

The general strategy was to get card power with SK, Bella, and WotF. The result was that my shaky ally composition was making it more difficult to establish board control than it should have been. So... yeah, basically it wasn't pretty.
