It's still controversial though, so I'd like to hear from both players involved on what we should do.

Due to the controversy regarding the accidental tab closure, I am thinking of two possible remedies:

1) Allow iClipse to play in Q4 as well, if he can make it. If he can't, I'll give him 500 SC.
2) Let the top 2 from each Qualifier go into the last 8 (Quarter-Finals) instead of last 4 (Semi-Finals). If Sisyphos gets knocked out in the Quarters, I will give him 500 SC, since he is currently due to get 500 for coming at least 4th.

I resisted a last 8 because it will take longer to organise the games and finish the tournament, but I want to try and keeps things as fair as possible here.

I didn't do this on purpose, only wanted to switch over to irc chat and say that the game's up. It was before the first match, the one i lost anyway, not the 2nd. Allowing iClipse to play another qualifier would be unfair towards the players there (he's good enough to win and let someone else feel cheated, isn't he?), so if anything go with the 2nd option. Or let iClipse advance instead of me, messing the thing up was my fault after all.

OK. That's good. I'll admit I came up with the remedy before I confirmed it was the first game and not the second.

IMO, my two cents (though I have nothing to do with it other than as a participant in the same tourney, but just something to think about): If it was a game in which he lost, I'd support either remedy, and think both are decent.

I'd actually like to see a top 8 anyways, it's more fun, even if it does take a bit longer to organize, 1.28 won't be out for awhile, there's time. But that top 8 should be an separate from this issue.

If you had perfect draw and went first (as you did), and he closed the tab (as he did), then on subsequent remaking you /lost/ that game, I'd say remedy is needed. Since it was game 1 that was restarted, and then you won that game, I'd say no remedy was needed, sort of a no harm, no foul thing.

That aside, I still wouldn't mind a top 8 anyways.

In any case, I love our community. GDC being very fair, and then look at iClipse's post that I quoted, and Sisyphos' last sentence of his post:

No, I am going to leave it as top 4. The August League top 8 is dragging on due to timezone differences, so top 4 here makes more sense so we can get our winner sooner.

And, while the next update that has card changes could be a while coming out, the sooner this one is wrapped up, the sooner we can have another and hopefully involve iOS users from the outset.
