this card is completely useless. i have not been able to use his ability even once, and trust me, i have tried. it's just too complicated. once you put him in play, he is the first one to get killed. especially since he has such a high cc and can only be used late in the game.

I believe if he was 3/5 he would be more useful, but I'm not fond of him for another reason. The problem for me is that the ally he saves and buffs comes exhausted into play. So if you have Earthen Protector

and Puwen

and you need to deal only 2 damage to win, the opponent can kill Puwen

(not that hard), EP will bring him back as a 4/5 who is exhausted, and if you were low on health as well, you've probably just lost the match.

to me, it just reminds of how elementalis used mind control to gain health in 1.25 - the entire process is just too complicated. I would love to see if anyone can find a use for this card in thier deck. the ONLY way i can even see this card working is if you put him into play with another protector (like aeon or skullborn) which is just dumb. If anyone has successfully used this cards, pleaselet me know.

One thing I did vs the AI was similar to that Deathbone

trick, I play Earthen when I had another ally out, I then attacked with the other ally knowing it would die except the Earthen dies and the ally stays out now at full health plus 2 on attack and health for some time.

Before Earthen Protectors release, it was like, the next big thing. Everyone was hyped on how you could combo him with Aeon Stormcaller

and Armoured Sandworm

. But now everyone thinks Earthen Protector

sucks which is really... surprising.

it would be useful as a 2 or 3 cost card with much weaker stats.

This card does'nt work on board wipes wich feels like a bug.
I had this out just before aoen dieing, so the mage casted nova which killed them both and the aeon did'nt come back.

Is this intended?
Feels like a useless card if so.
