This thread is for Season 1 of the 1.27 LE4GUE (formerly known as the September League), which will start on Monday 5th September.

There will be five leagues:

* Blue and Green aimed at U.S. timezones
* Yellow and Orange aimed at European timezones
* Red aimed at Asia/Pacific timezones

If you haven't signed up already, register yourself on the league section of my website, with a username that matches your Forum username, and post your league colour preference(s) on this thread..

FULL RULES:

* You must be signed up on the league section of my website, with a username that matches your Forum username. If you aren't listed on that webpage, you are not in the 1.27 LE4GUE.

* Season One runs from Monday 5th September to Sunday 9th October 2011.

* Decks need at least 39 cards + Hero (i.e. 40 card minimum - hence the 4 in the word LE4GUE).

* There will be five leagues (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow and Orange), with eight/nine players in each.

* Each player plays each other player in their league once, in a three-game match. You always play 3 games, regardless of whether someone is 2-0 ahead. (Reasons will become clear in the SCORING section.)

* Players will be paired up with two matches to be played each week. If you cannot play a scheduled match in a given week, then try to set a match date for a future week with your opponent. Feel free to play non-scheduled matches with people you've not yet played in your league, if you're both available and want to play. (Getting matches in early can be useful in you are going on holiday, for example.)

* When players have agreed a mutually convenient time for a given match, they should meet in the chat room at the agreed date and time. (I recommend specifying times in GMT+0 to avoid confusion and using the clock on the league page as the definitive time in GMT+0.) Not turning up gets you a Warning. Two warnings = auto-win for your opponent.

* Anyone who goes AWOL during the first five days of the league will be removed and replaced. Be sure to check your profile on the league site and Private Messages so you can arrange your games. Exception: if you will not be around for those first five days, let people know in advance, and be sure to get your games in when you return.

* Who goes first in the first game in a match is decided randomly. The other player goes first in the second game (just quit and restart the game if the in-built random selection gets it the wrong way round). The last match is again decided at random.

* Results should be posted on this thread AND on the league website, via the Report a Match link (available when logged in).

* Within a match, you cannot make any deck changes.

* You can change your deck as much as you want, including Hero, between matches.

* The winner of each coloured league gets 500 Shadow Crystals.

* At the end of the season, the top 16 players (1st/2nd/3rd in each league, and highest scoring 4th place) will face off in a single-elimination tournament to decide the overall winner for Season 1. Season 1 winner gets 2000 Shadow Crystals.

SCORING:

* you get 1pt for playing a match
* you get 1pt for winning a match
* you get 1pt for each game you win

Winning 3-0 therefore gets you 5pts. Winning 2-1 gets you 4pts. Losing 2-1 gets you 2pts. Losing 3-0 gets you 1pt for turning up. Not turning up gets you 0pts.

Note: Even though the league has started now, there is still room for a few more people. Post below with you colour preferences. In the case of over-subscription, priority will be given to players who played all seven of their matches in the August 1.26 League and then whoever signed up first.

I will put the Week 2 pairings up tomorrow night. If anyone does an unscheduled match before then, I will make that into one of your Week 2 pairings.

The league tables are on their way, but delayed due to me spending a lot of time running the 1.27 TOURN4MENT. I have added the ability for each player to see their current league points, however. (1pt for each match player, 1pt for winning the match and 1pt for each game won.)

Please check the league website, and view your profile to see who your opponents are for Week 1. (Most people have 2 matches to play in the first week, but some only have 1 due to odd numbers of players in Yellow, Orange and Green at the moment.)

Once you know your opponents, you can contact each other via PM. (I've added a Send PM link next to your scheduled opponent's name to make things really easy.)

Please ensure you have reread all the rules from the original post (I have updated them today) and let me know as soon as possible if you have any unanswered questions. (Posting on this thread and to me by PM will likely get you assistance the fastest.)

Have some faith! We are very close.

It was a hard decision to delay the start, but we still have to have the final tournament to decide the winners of the August League and I was really expecting 1.27 to be out by the start of September. Then there is also the fact that September doesn't start on a Monday like August did, and that I don't have the website quite ready yet.
