Ok so i bought an ipad 2 cover off ebay. Its a really cheap one but it looks ok. I was disappointed how it didnt have a magnet so when you close it the ipad it autolocks.
Anyway i cut up a fridge magnet and superglued it to the cover and it works fine. Just made it look neat and out of the way and the couple of people i showed it to didnt even notice.
Just in case anyone has a similar issue, works fine.

Isn't sticking a magnet on your paid near the screen a bad idea?
I once made a huge pemanent purple line on a tv screen by placing a magnet on top of it in my room when I got home from school back in the day.
Idk the physics of this, I just know that the magnet was for a science experiment at school and I left it on the tv, when I got home and turned it on, it fucked up the screen.
Just a warning/random statement if the physics there aren't the same between the 2 scenarios.

I'm betting your tv wasn't a flatscreen. Anyhow FYI if you swipe your magnet across your messed up tv you can sometimes fix it. Takes some practice tho.

More useless info: i think it's the cathode ray tubes that get effected by magnets. I could very well be pulling this shit out of my ass tho. no doubt someone will correct me.
