So, when you pass your driving test, are you heading over to the nearest race track to give out some advice? More importantly, when the people in the know tell you the advice is wrong, are you going to ignore them and keep giving the same advice out?

I take exception when people, proffessing themselves as new, start an "advice" thread. I also take exception to the fact that these same people then leave the OP full of bad information, even after being corrected.

Either do what you said, and update the op with the information you have learned, or I predict this thread will stagnate, and die of infection.

At t5, going first, do you want to summon another ally when vs priests? Will he TW in next rd?

Same scenario vs Zal, will he have a MC in hand on his t5?

The more you play, the better you can anticipate what moves your opponent will make.

That results in you having a increased sense on what to sac.

And that my friend, is one of the most valued skill in SE.
I do have to bring this up though; with four copies of Tidal Wave in a 30 card deck, I always assume they have a Tidal Wave by turn five. And they almost always turn out to have it too. The small deck size gives the game too much consistency, and from all the SE experience we're simply taught that we should assume the opponent always has that signature powerful card at the right moment.

(In the Jasmine case, I might still summon her; not because I'm betting on Aidon not showing up, but because even if he shows up, Jasmine would still have soaked up 4 damage for me.)

If you notice, i listed my opinions as "questions". They are not hard set.

Like you, I may also summon Jas on t4. It depends what I have on my hand.

For TW, it depends what's in play and on hand.

That said, becos the matches at higher levels are usually very close, one cannot be too cautious with gameplay.

For example, with 1 puwen in play for me, opponents plays priest, he goes second, will I cast Raven at t5? Usually yes, becos if he does not have TW, I will have instant board control.

BUT, if I have a Jas and a Raven, I will summon the Jas at t5, not raven.

I agree with what you said, before and after. On turn five, the question I ask myself is: can I deal with a Raven / Plasma Behemoth? I usually summon just enough allies to say yes to this question, but not more when a Tidal Wave / Supernova is looming over me. Note that a single Jasmine or Raven deals with an opposing, about-to-be-summoned Raven, and a Retreat gives you more space to manuever around.

The reasoning behind this is: getting board-controlled by a Raven / Plasma Behemoth is something way worse than getting 2-for-1'd by a Tidal Wave.

    Good analysis.

Totally agree. Plasma Behemoth would be a pain if you don't get rid of him during the turn it appeared.
