Actually, with today's batteries, it's actually not advisable to let your battery drain completely as that will decrease overall battery life.

I call this statement into question and would like sources cited.

If the tension of the battery goes below a certain limit it could happen that you won't be able to recharge it anymore.
However phones are designed to shut down before the limit is reached so there should not be any problem even if you empty the battery

Actually the tech is designed into the battery itself so it doesnt matter what device is using it. Leaving it decharged for months on end could decharge it beyond the point of no return so dont do that. Thats why they ship them fully charged.

I heard that high drain can destroy batteries, yet I've also heard depleted lith-ion batteries develop crystals inside, that's how they die. And the only way to destroy them and revive the battery is a good whack and high drain/recharge?

    Regardless...

Shadow era uses WAY too much power. Esp for a card game.

I never play with my phone if I.am ay home. A pc is better.
So if I ever need to play with my phone it means I can't charge it, so probably I don't play at all.
Actually I don't like to play when I'm not at home, but the point is that an app that drains too much battery is almost useless imo

    This.

Why can't the app be streamlined for mobile apps?

    I mean it's great that it'a multiplatform...

But if you can't play the game except when at home, what's the frigging point?

Draining the charge of a battery completely before recharging was for old battery technology. It was for those batteries that suffered from memory effect. Lithium-ion batteries doesn't suffer from that and discharging it completely might just cause it to fall into deep discharge state and fail to recharge far faster than you recharge from partial usage.
