Yea the pace will probably change, but that's only because players want to try out the many new zerglings. Rush decks do tend to run out of steam quickly and can almost never afford to lose board control, so as long as there are fair means of getting them under control - which i think most heroes have - they're simply an additional play style that you'll have to be prepared for (in 1.26 Zaladar rush was basically the only one of the kind worth considering).
Also, there aren't only allies coming. For all we know, we could get cards like a 3 cost weapon that does 2x2 damage or a "Kill 2 allies below X cost" ability to take care of weenies.

However much one kind of longs to see the actors in war outdo each other in cunning activity, finesse, and stratagem, still one has to admit that these qualities show themselves but little in history and have rarely been able to emerge from amongst the mass of relations and circumstances.
The reason for this is obvious enough: Strategy knows no other activity than the arrangement of combats with the measures which relate to it. It doesn't know, like ordinary life, actions that consist of mere words, i.e. expressions, declarations, etc. But these, which are inexpensive, are what the crafty one prefers to deceive with.
This sober truth is always felt through and through by the actor in war and therefore he ceases to fancy a game of shrewd agility. Necessity presses so hard into immediate action that there is no room left for it. In a word, the pieces on the strategical chessboard lack the mobility that is the element of stratagem and cunning. - CvC, On War
I wonder if you guys are ever going to be happy with the game, seriously.
I'm not saying the game is perfect, far from it, but c'mon, this a meta based game, so play the meta or wait 1.28 if you don't like to rush/counter rush.
To be honest, I thought putting aside Starcraft for a while, I wouldn't see rush complaints for a while, but guess not.

I'm okay with rush dominating the game for awhile, as long as they fix it WITHOUT NERFS.
I.e. If ey are the strongest cards for awhile, then new strong cards come out that match up well versus those decks. A natural predator.
I also am of the opinion that the meta takes care of problems (that aren't flat out broken). When people play more ice storm/tidal wave/arcane burst, people will play less weenie, and it'll cycle.
As long as they don't make broken cards, they're easy enough the fix via the meta shifting and new cards.
I do think OP is 100% correct in that the early game is more important in what it looks like 1.27 will be, and decks will have to adapt.
Hey, i still like this game!
Just writting down a little thought for it to be readen and criticised.
I love to be wrong. I'd love to be wrong.
