I think you counted wrong. The only differences between an Elemental deck and a Shadow Mage deck are the heroes and the class Ability cards. The heroes(Elementals and Shadow Mages) are all base price. Mages have Fireball and Lightning Shock at 150 gold while Elementals have just Sparks. However, Elementals get 3 Uncommons instead of the usual 2 so their deck is worth more.
For starter decks' content, read this thread.
Really? I must have counted wrong.

hi AnAdolt,
question: how many resource do you put? do you limit to 3 only or do you still put every turn depending on the cards... esp. the occasional duplicate bazaar & shard
Depends on what you get and what you've played. On very rare occasions, I'll stop sacrificing on round 3 or 4; such as when I've sacrificed 3 out of 4 Bloodlust and my only card in hand to sacrifice is the last Bloodlust. But usually, you should be sacrificing for a resource every turn. With this deck, against AI Amber, you should be winning on the 5th round consistently; I'd say like 66% of the time.
Edit: nvm :O
