When does a game become official?

I had just ended my 5th turn when my opponent quit. The annoying "too short" message still appeared. Why?

It's not at a certain round but how many "actions" were taken. As for the specifics, I don't know more than that. I think to prevent aiding exploitation, they won't release the details either.

I think "too short" is not a good enough excuse. What if someone is playing a super aggressive deck that doesn't need many actions to win? Also, if loss is inevitable it's more sportsmanlike to concede than it is to waste their time and make them go through the motions.

I don't mind if someone forfeits and I earn gold and/or XP; I hate it when my opponent quits without losing gold and/or XP. If he/she knew he/she would lose gold and/or XP by quitting, I think he/she would play to the end.

Here is My fix for this.

Stop giving gold/crystals for leveling/victories. Then any games played can give xp/rating. This would fix farming of the system and even if someone quits on turn 1 you can get your rating/xp as the one who did not disconnect.

what is the problem ? If someone disconect he lose rating point, and you lose NOTHING, it can be enough for the haters ! Or perhaps should we break one of his leg ? Is that way give satisfaction ?
