How do you deal with Rapid Fire + Soul Seeker?

My Eladwen. 30 cards cookie cutter. It's basically Majiya with less draw and better allies. It's pretty good in quickmatch, but I haven't played Eladwen very much against good players. I wouldn't recommend it for 40 cards though, as it really hurts your chances of drawing burn. I haven't play tested against many good players yet though. I have beaten GondorianDotCom (GDC) once in 1.26. I have also beaten Jiminee once (it was a surprise because he is using Gwen). This deck is very fun to play, and a lot more interesting than Majiya. Well, my deck list is:

    Eladwen

    3 Puwen
    3 Jasmine
    3 Aldon
    2 Aeon/Raven

    4 Fireball
    4 Lightning Strike
    3 Supernova
    3 Research
    1 Poison Gas
    1 Engulfing Flames

    2 Snow Sapphire

    30 cards

Tested and proven. If you don't have a good win rate, you're playing it wrong. It does have trouble with Majiya though.

    I'm testing this:

    Eladwen

    4x Blake
    4x Puwen
    3x Aldon
    2x Jasmine

    4x Fireball
    4x Lightning Strike
    3x Supernova
    3x Bazaar
    2x Snow Sapphire

Strategy: go as fast as you can for early damage, control the board with Strike/Fireball and don't waste cards for too many resources because you can't draw a lot so treat your spells like gold.
Why Bazaar and not Research? Because you don't have to pay every turn so you need less resources to play the same cards. DON'T PLAY IT EARLY. When you run out of cards and your opponent is low with life it helps a lot to draw the final burn spells. It can be gold even after a Tidal Wave when you need allies to establish board control again.
I'm not really sure about Supernova: 5 damage is a lot and can be a great finisher, but most of the time I sac it because it is counterproductive to deck strategy. I'd need another burn spell, but Special Delivery looks too weak.
An option could be -3 supernova +2 Jasmine +1 Snow Sapphire... I'll try as soon as I have gold to buy these missing cards

My ally-less Eladwen that lost me round 2 of the T1 tournament to a Boris:

    Damage Dealers (13):
    4 Fireball
    4 Lightning Strike
    1 Poison Gas
    1 Engulfing Flames
    2 Supernova
    1 Special Delivery

    Defenders (15):
    4 Retreat
    4 Rain Delay
    3 Snow Sapphire
    4 Voice of Winter

    Draw (2):
    2 Research

I think this needs a few more damage dealing cards. Not sure why I only put 2 Nova in the end.

If I added 1 more Nova, 1 more Research and 1 more Special Delivery then it might do better. However, I am going to secumb to the dark side and try a Majiya variant of this deck.

And what about Bad Santa? Probably it is better than Bazaar, at list for my weenie version.

@Gondorian: your ally-less deck is very nice (and I agree it needs at least 1 more Supernova), but isn't Nishaven better for that strategy?

Yes, I think Nishaven would have been a better choice! The reason for Eladwen as hero is that I started off with some allies in the deck and only removed them after i'd already declared my hero for the T1 tournament.

BTW, I don't think a Majiya version of my deck is possible because Retreat is a key card for early game. I will try Nishaven and the extra Supernova. Cheers.

Damn. Nobody talking about how great and undefeatable my Eladwen is? GDC hogging the spotlight? Great.

Sorry, man. I even admitted my deck was losing. Eladwen works better with allies. I might give your deck a try if I can tear myself away from JZA.
