Assume the following I am #10, and challenge #1 and #6 on the ladder. I first play #1, and win. Next I play #6 and also win. What will be my spot on the ladder? Still #1?
And in the same scenario, if I would have beaten #1, but would have lost to #6, would #6 have moved to the first spot, even though he/she was the defender?

The order you play the matches is important. And the time you record the result is important.

At the point the result of the match is recorded, whatever position the losing defender was in, the winner will take that spot and the loser drops down one.

So, in your scenario, when you beat #1, you get top and they go #2. If you then beat #6, nothing changes. A losing challenger always keeps their spot, unless they have ended up being higher than their opponent by the time the challenge match is actually played, of course!

Had #6 beat you after you beat #1, then they get top, you get #2 and the original top dog is now #3.

My advice is: win games and make sure the results get recorded. The ladder website will take care of the rest!

Hmm. It worked the second time, so maybe it is cookie related. Or maybe it has forgotten the loser was logged in because he logged in a while before. Probably best to refresh the page before you attempt to log a result and you might see you have been logged out. I can fix up the login session to last longer but not right now.

Good to see there is a workaround at least. If it shows up as someone besting guest then login again and record it again.
