Darkclaw's ability activates even when dealing 0 damage [not a bug]

I let my Darkclaw attack a Reinforced Puwen and the opposing hero still took 1 damage even though I dealt 0 damage.

Is this intentional? Because the description says "When Darkclaw deals combat damage...".

This is the whole "Is 0 damage still damage" debate. I think we've currently got to "If the damage is dealt, but then reduced (think stoneskin & reinforced armour), then it counts. If the damage is not dealt (i.e. they have -1 attack), then it shouldn't. (Though currently you can't attack anyway if you have 0 attack, e.g. from Raven's ability).
