I play the normal server on my iPad and the test server on a MacBook Pro (where I can also engage in the unofficial Shadow Era IRC Chat Room).

I usally play from my laptop.
Locations? Hmmm depends where I take my laptop, but usually at my room or in the university, if there is a good wifi spot around.
It's all about controlling the field.
Either from my PC or my Android phone, depending on whether I'm home or not.
I play it mostly on my MacBook when I'm at home. I do have the iOS app on my iPhone 3GS but I seldom use it; the cards are too tiny. I also play it at work when I need a break but those matches usually end up with me quitting due to interruptions (sorry).

My favourite way to play Shadow Era is to hook the MBP up to the 32'' TV in the kitchen and play Shadow Era on the big screen. Anyone tried it on a projector?
