Is there a way to keep SE running active in background?

I've got two monitors; one running SE in window mode, while I browse the net on another. The problem here is whenever I start using my browser all further actions in SE is halted, and only resumes once I make SE the primary program. I wish to be able to see whats going on in my SE game while I browse. Is there a way to keep SE actively running?

SE does not like to take actions in the background. Every move your opponent makes pretty much needs to be clicked.

I would like to be able to minimize it and have the browser flash when action is needed.

I sometimes watch videos while playing SE - I scale down the SE window so I can still have both video window and SE window on display at the same time... but I make sure the SE window is "selected" to keep it running.

I also find this annoying. If SE would keep running I could easily multitask while playing without slowing the game down at all, but the fact that it pauses entirely when the window is not in focus ruins this.

If I'm not mistaken, Chrome allows SE to run in the background.

It's weird, actually. 1.23 wouldn't run in the background (switching windows would cause animations to pause, nothing would go on), but when 1.24 was released, it would. Then 1.25 came out and it lost the functionality.

Yet oddly the test server runs in the background just fine for me.

I'm wondering if it's actually a design option in Unity and the switch has been turned on and off for whatever reason, but I find it very frustrating too. I'd like to be able to switch windows but still see what's going on - it's easy enough to switch back and click cards when necessary.

It seems to work with 2 different browsers. Having SE run on Chrome and have a different type of browser (e.g. Firefox) open for browsing. That's what I do at work lol.

I use Chrome, it doesn't work. I don't play on the test server, though, if that makes a difference.

Ahhh that's probably what it is. I haven't played on the live server for weeks now, so all my assumptions and statements are based on the test server. I apologize for any confusion.
