Tried this out and Death Trap seems to be working fine, even with 2 in play. I'm guessing the second ally your opponent played was a stolen one? Which would be the result of this bug.

I think it's fine. Hunters totally miss on draw qbility n item removal. DT only slightly compensates for it and is not OP. There are even good Gwen decks that don't even use DTs. DT is not OP imo

I don't quite like the fact that you can guess (or know exactly) which Trap they play just by looking at how many resources they used.

Haha that's what I do but it's almost always this trap.
And this is quite pointless as I almost always have access to some firesnake i can easily pawn off to make room for a better ally.

Also, this gets around the aforementioned "Retreat" suggestion. And overall, the cost of Retreat (2) plus this cost (3) is quite high for such an uncertain way of removing an ally.

I agree with the problem. Faced down is pointless.

I suggest upping Net Trap to 3cc as well. Improve it's ability for example:

Net Trap activates when enemies ally enter play. Effects: all enemies' allies are webbed until end of their next turn.

Webbed = cannot attack or defend an attack
