I'm pleased to announce the very first officially hosted Shadow Era tournament. Here are the details:
Entry Fee: 100 Shadow Crystals
100 crystals taken from your accounts at the entry cutoff time
Prizes:
Runners Up: 4th place and above in Regionals will be awarded Shadow
Crystals and forum titles, and move on to the Worldwide Tournament
Regional Champions: $200 each
Grand Prize: iPad 2 or Galaxy Tab
Deck Construction: 40+ cards, Swiss-system tournament, must register
your deck before the tournament and use the same deck through all
stages

1. North America, South America
2. Europe, Africa
3. Asia, Australia
Dates:
Regionals - June 4 and 5
Worldwide - June 11

Time:
First there will be 3 regions competing, meaning everyone is US is one group, people from Europe another group, and Asia the last group. So the tournament time will be conveinent for people in that group. The time will be afternoonish in your local timezone, but the exact time will only be announced a few days before the tounrnanments start, once evrery player has registered.
Place:
The tournament will be taken place on the test server using the web version only as it is updated frequently.
Cards:
40 cards or more, including the hero.
You can register with the cards which you don't have in your account, as the tournament matches are on the test server, where every card costs only 1g, so it's easy to get all cards. Also, you have plenty of times to test them.
Prizes:
Winners of each region will get $200 each, transfered through paypal unless they have other preferences. You can choose what account to get your prize.
The world wide champion will win an Ipad. You will either get the order placed for you on the Apple store, or the cash value by some other way like PayPal depends on your preference.
World wide champion will be for top 4 of all regions, so 12 people in total.

I'm still learning about the game but will be watching the tournament as it's taking place and I'm looking forward to seeing how all you experienced players have it done. Welcome to the show!
