Rules for WC2021 Finals
1. DECK LOCK using the submitted 4 decks in advance.
2. Day 1 all games are best of 3 using the first 3 decks. 2 points for a match win and 2 points for byes.
Day 2 all games will be best of 5 using all 4 decks.
3. Disconnections will mean a win for the opponent unless he agrees to replay. Sync errors and draws will be replayed with the same player going first. Random start in games 1,3 and 5 if needed. Alternate who starts in games 2 and 4 (in the case of bo5).
4. Tiebreakers: in case of a tie between two players in the scoreboard ranks of Day 1, three tiebreakers will be applied using Challonge.
- Wins vs Tied Participants
- Median-Buchholz System
- Points Difference
Any players still tied in Challonge scoreboard will need a playoff Best of 3 match, or Round-Robin if more than 3 tied.
5. Players must confirm their participation and submit decks 24hrs before the official starting time. There will be no replacements. Players who do not check-in and submit decks before the submission close will not participate.
6. Seedings: Day one will have random seeds.
Day two will be based on the ranks of the qualified. Brackets will be as follows:
1 vs 8; 4 vs 5; 2 vs 7; 3 vs 6; (most common seeding used for 8 players)
7. As with all tournaments, it is the responsibility of the player to ensure that they use a valid submitted deck and follow the tournament rules. To prevent shenanigans, starting a match with the wrong deck/hero will count as a loss. Changing a deck from the submitted deck list will result in a disqualification.
