    [RS Seadog] Anti-meta Zalader

I have seen people complaining about Priests. So I am making an anti-meta deck that can beat Priests consistently.

    Hero: Zaladar

    Allies (17):
    4x Feasterling
    3x Aldmor Interceptor
    4x Rampant Krygon
    3x Ravager Zealot
    3x Eternal Troll

    Abilities (18):
    3x Sacrificial Lamb
    4x Bad Santa
    3x Permeate
    3x Shadow Font
    4x Mind Control
    1x Ley Line Nexus

    Items (4)
    4x Life Infusing Spector

    = 39 cards

    Overview:

Gameplan is aggro. Don’t be afraid to go for face whenever you can.
Normally, you can start to count for lethal when opponent is at 15+ HP.
Deck is particularly good against control/combo decks. Thanks to it’s brilliant damage output.
There are 10 haste allies, 10 direct damage abilities (Permeate/Shadow Font/Mind Control), 4 Weapons and Zalader ability. It also has a pretty high draw (drawing 21 cards out of 4 Santa and 3 Slamb). You will almost never run out of steam.

    Card choice:

Feasterling – Highest damage 2cc ally. Able to deal 5 damages with Permeate which can kill most 2-3cc allies.

Aldmor Interceptor – A cheap versatile ally with haste. You can use it to mitigate first turn advantage, slow down opponent’s fatty, or combo with Permeate or even Spector

Rampant Krygon – Haste and low health. Best target for Spector. Try to play it on the same turn you break Spector. 3cc for 4/5 Haste ally is no joke.

Ravager Zealot – Extra haste ally. Target Permeate for an extra ally or Spector for an attachment. Remember, when you have no ally but Spector on board, playing Zealot and targeting Spector will get the attachment on it, which means 3cc for 4/8 Haste. Ouch.

Eternal Troll – On defense, it soaks up a lot of damages. On offence, it’s anti-tidal/nova. Draw cards out of Slamb or put an attachment on it. There are many plays from the Troll.

Permeate – Pretty good against board wipes. Don’t be afraid to play it on Krygon on an empty board and go for face. You still get an ally after it dies.

Mind Control – The main reason why this deck is anti-priest. Always hold 1 or 2 MC on hand against them and you are pretty safe.

Life Infusing Spector – A highly underrated card and the backbone of this deck. Opponent will have a hard time to destroy it since it will stick on your allies. Especially good on your haste allies.

    Matchups:

The deck is particularly good against priest due to mind control and all the “second life” cards including Eternal Troll, Permeate and Life Infusing Spector. These cards need to be destroyed twice before getting rid of them. Therefore you are home safe against Tidal Wave and Focused Prayer etc.

It also performs fairly well against mid-range deck and burn mage, but its pretty weak against weapon based deck, especially baduruu. Try to play defensively and control the board. Wear down his weapons with Spector. It still a very uphill fight.

    Other cards to consider:

Frostmare / Phaedon Barbarian / Soulbound Armour – more haste options.

Clockwork Soldier – more “second life” ally.

Spitfire Hound / Cleric of the Asyn / Thriss Assault Plinth / Thriss Crucible – change to Ravager lineup

    Conclusion:

Though the deck still under development, its able to take you to the top rank in the right meta. Got a 10 win streak from the first run. Look forward to more improvement.

    Revision 1:

    Hero: Zaladar

    Allies (15):
    4x Feasterling
    3x Aldmor Interceptor
    4x Rampant Krygon
    4x Eternal Troll

    Abilities (18):
    4x Sacrificial Lamb
    3x Bad Santa
    3x Permeate
    3x Shadow Font
    4x Mind Control
    1x Energy Discharge

    Items (6)
    2x Clockwork Soldier
    4x Life Infusing Spector

    = 39 cards

With the addition of Clockwork Soldier, you allies become harder to kill. Therefore, energy discharge is added for extra control and more slamb is used.
