Please can you solicit opinions from the most active players directly, either by contacting with Telegram PM or in-game Mail, before making any decision. Clearly most people aren't looking here and don't even know this is on the horizon, but they are definitely still playing the game and it's worth their input. Cheers!

Contacting players directly to get permission to do changes seems very out of the ordinary - even for Shadow Era, nevermind the rest of the industry. Having a post online to discuss them seems sufficient to me.

running a game or business by committee is a stupid idea. either make the changes, or don't.

Permission? I'm talking about hearing their views as experienced players. In the olden days, they would just read here and speak up, but activity and views here are down and I don't see much effort to publicise this thread.

IMO half of them is already fine as it is,only Into the Forest and Soul Reaper that does need change.

Item destruction is already too common in every deck right now, it would be too easy to counter Armor of Ages and Crescendo. Mages also can bypass them using ability to damage the Hero.

Lay Low is a bit difficult to counter since it's a support ability, but once your opponent brought ability removal such as Shriek of Vengeance, Focused Prayer, Eriss Fateweaver it's easy too crumble. Some other means can also be used to counter them without any targeting like Tidal Wave, Super Nova, Energy Discharge or by countering it's hidden attributes via Kion or Vull. Lay Low itself already has a drawback that their Hero and Ally cannot attack while hidden, currently there's only one Lance deck that could utilize it properly and it's win rate is not impressive either.

Into the Forest is very hard to counter since their attachment is also hidden, only Priest ability Mass Purification that could remove it. Against Gwen ITF mostly your only option is defending or destroy her weapon and hope that she doesn't have a replacement in her hand.

Soul Reaper is almost impossible to counter, a low cost card that could heal you back to full health. You could try to exile ally in your opponent graveyard but this way is to inneffecient and there aren't many ways to exile them either. Your best bet is to steal or discard from your opponent hand via Serena ability but only if you're lucky, also even if you manage to discard it your opponent can still use it via Mimic.

As for the changes I don't have any complain for the new Soul Reaper and Into the Forest.
