Zealous Mystic + Lingering Essence + Snare Trap

I have a snare trap out.
Opponent has lingering essence, an ally with for unaxio!, and some other stuff (divine connection being the only other possibly relevant card).

He summons a Zealous Mystic to take the For Unaxio. Trap triggers, mystic is exiled, and For Unaxio is destroyed and shuffled into his deck.

    This triggers lingering essence.

Is this intended? What if it had been a death trap?

Hi. An attachment was targeted and then destroyed (albeit unintentionally) so Lingering Essence was right to trigger. I believe Death Trap would have had same effect, since the attachment would still have been destroyed when Zealous Mystic was killed.
