REPOST: Urigon's Fang and Violet Thunderstorm (not a bug)

Posted this interaction a while ago and never received a response.

Unsure if this is a bug or intended interaction:

When you have Urigon's Fang and Violet Thunderstorm on board, if an ally attacks you, they are frozen from taking damage in combat from Violet Thunderstorm (correct interaction) but then that attack continues and they deal damage to your hero and reduce armor durability.
Since they are frozen before the damage stage, should the damage stage be cancelled?

This would make it consistent with other disables mid combat such as Ricochet Trap.
I can provide a video of the interaction if this isn't clear

    Thanks

    Hi,

That is correct behavior. You can read in greater detail about combat in this thread: http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....ebook-section). If the ally is able to attack and you initiate combat by attacking with the ally, the attack will land even if the ally gets frozen/disabled and even if its attack is reduced to 0 during the combat, unless an effect like on Ricochet Trap explicitly states combat is aborted.

Play face down. The next time your hero is attacked by an opposing hero or ally, the attack is aborted, and the attacker is disabled for 1 turn and takes X damage, where X is its attack value.

Ok thanks for the clarification. I think the confusion arises because there is an explicit check before defending, I.E stunned mid combat can't defend, there was the assumption there would be an explicit check before attacking, but understand there isn't now thanks.
