A 64 person tournament (or more)

STANDARD tournament rules except for what follows.

Banned cards:
- Lay Low
- Crescendo
- Soul Reaper
- Into the Forest
- Armor of Ages

SLUGFEST X will be a BEST OF 7. Thats right, a best of seven.

You will bring 4 heroes. They must be 2 human and 2 shadow. This is locked (HEROES and DECKS). Meaning it must be the same 4 heroes and the same deck build for each THROUGHOUT the whole tournament. No sideboard.
No need to submit deck lists. Save your 4 decks under the name slugx (no capital letters). The hero choice will be submitted in a post on forum after the first round.

Changing decks after round one is an auto DQ, if you load the wrong deck and realize it after you played and get caught, DQ. So be careful and play well.

You must play all 4 heroes, in whatever order in the first 4 games. If there is a 5th, you can play any hero you chose. If there is a 6th game, you cannot use the one you played in game 5. If there is a 7th game, you cannot use the hero you used in games 5 and 6. NO EXCEPTIONS.

- The TO

The TO is A1 Kip thorp, all communications must go through him for any questions of decks or possible cheating (@kip_thorp on telegram). The TO and the TO's decisions are final

- DECK SUBMISSION

You must save your 4 decks under the name slugx (no capital letters) The deadline for decks submission is by the 9th throught the 10th of September. No exceptions. Nik Velez will be pulling all participants decks under that name.
So save your decks under slugx and do not change them until you it is announced that all decks have been collected.

If Nik Velez does not find any over enough decks he will notify A1 Kip Thorp. It will be up to Kip what happens. Most likely DQ. So do not be lazy, have your decks saved under slugx and wait until you hear they have been collected.

- When SLUGFEST X starts

Due to the update SlugfestX will start exactly 7 days after the Shadow Era update. Please have your decks ready by the 9th throught the 10th September for recording by @Nik Velez the BoD rep who will record your decks. Remember this is a hero/decklock event, they cannot change after they have been recorded, so pick your best hero’s and cards and may the best Slugfester win!
The brackets will be up on the 11th of September, as soon as they are posted the tourney starts.

- Notes

A1 Kip thorp is old and cranky and will put up with little if any bull crap. So play fair and play well within the rules and there will be no problems. Problems will be dealt with swiftly and TO’s decision is final and binding. (Meaning you can complain all you want, but break a rule or bring bull crap drama, and you might just be out).

- The PRIZES

The prizes have been approved by the Board of Direction

1st: 4 prize packs + 4 premium packs + 4 LL packs + 20 "Pick a Card" + a choice of mat and sleeves + WC spot in final 32
2nd: 2 prize packs + 2 premium packs + 2 LL packs + 10 "Pick a Card"+ a choice of mat and sleeves + WC spot in final 32
3rd: 1 prize pack + 1 premium pack + 1 LL pack + 5 "Pick a Card" + a choice of mat and sleeves + WC spot in final 32
4th: a choice of mat and sleeves + 3 prize pack + 3 premium pack + 3 "Pick a Card"
from 5th to7th: 2 prize pack + 2 premium pack + 2 "Pick a Card"
8th: 2 prize pack + 2 premium pack + 1 "Pick a Card"
from 9 to 17th: 1 prize pack + 1 premium pack + 1 "Pick a Card"

- SIGNUPS. This is IMPORTANT

We want your IGN and TG account when you sign up. Sign ups will be held a minimum 2 weeks for 64 players with possible extension until 128 players are reached. After that about 1 week will be allowed for deck submitions

- CLARIFICATIONS

WHO GOES FIRST: random 1st game, 2nd game the other player goes first. Then random for the 3rd game and the other player for the 4th, etc. this is probably the best method since it cuts down on starting and stopping of games.

If no match is played in a round, we will make a decision based on all the info we have on who made the most effort to play. This decision will be final. No argument or complaining.

All rounds but round 1 will be 1 week long. Round 1 might be a little longer to allow possible reserve replacements to get a match in.
NO DEADLINE extensions. After pairings, you must contact your opponent in 3 days to schedule.
If you wanna be part of this great event try to arrange your match with your opponent, you have 1 week to do it.

We reserve the right to make changes and clarifications as needed. These will be announced.

- CONCERNING QUALIFYING FOR THE WC

- If a player already has a spot in the final WC 32, then the spot moves down to the fourth place, etc. which could possibly mean it might drop down to the fifth place person, in which case there will be a playoff between the players in fifth place and so on.
