    [RS Seadog] Chaos Vess

    New deck on board!

I think Chaos Engine is such an underrated card and its value should be at the same level as Vergon.

I also found that nobody use it with Vess, so I decide to give it a spin. Surprisingly it works well.

    Hero: Vess Swifthands

    Allies (12):
    4x Spitfire Hound
    4x Ravager Zealot
    4x Braxnorian Veteran

    Abilities (27):
    4x Crippling Blow
    2x Melt Down
    2x Smashing Blow
    4x Blood Frenzy
    2x Lythite Coating
    1x Enrage
    1x Rampage
    1x Mettle of the Warrior
    4x Enslave the Beast
    4x Confluence of Fate
    2x Dawn Raid

    Items (22):
    2x Arthyle's Crypt
    4x Crown of Ages
    4x Chaos Engine
    4x Thriss Assault Plinth
    4x Thriss Crucible
    2x Dragon's Tooth
    2x Rothem's Visage

    = 62 cards

Basically, it’s a hybrid of stall Vess and Chaos Ravager. It is a control deck.

The main theme is draw, defense, heal and recur.

Draw – 3 sets of draw engines – Bloody Frenzy, Confluence of Fate and Chaos Engine. It gives a very good flow of cards and provides a better consistency for big decks.

Defense – 2 sets of defense system – attachments and ravager items provides a lot of control options.

Heal – 3 healing cards – Enrage, Rampage, Mettle of the Warrior. Signature cards in stall vess. Very annoying.

Recur - Braxnorian Veteran and Arthyle's Crypt. Make sure you never run out of steam.

I select Smashing Blow and Dawn Raid for item destruction because of the low count of ravager allies. Alternatively, they could be replaced by Obelisk and Demolitionist.

When I build this deck, there is a hidden combo - Rothem's Visage + Chaos Engine. The armour increases its durability everytime you gain shadow energy from chaos engine. With Lythite Coating, it’s unbreakable.

A second approach is to remove Lythite Coating and Rothem's Visage for Brakkong/Shackles.

Brakkong has a good synergy in this deck with all the attachments/items.

Shackles steals a lot of tempo and remove the passive ability of some annoying allies.

Ive used something close to this but centered it around Hellfire Beseiger instead of Brakong.
