Let me guess - into the forest/lay low, rain delay, shrine of negatia for recursion or rain and full moon depending on which flavour you prefer?


Common theme - decks that focus on making themselves untouchable/able to ignore the other player for most of the game?

Noone likes being a passive bystander in their own game!

I was away from the game for a while- how did the deck work?

This deck usually involves disabling your opponents allies with crippling blow/enslave the beast. Uses marksman to auto kill the opponent's allies when they have 3+ allies on field (old marksman before changes). Either Arthyle's Crypt or Shadow knight to retrieve marksman from graveyard and repeat process. Brax Veteran to recycle any attachments from graveyard.

Enrage, Rampage and Mettle of Warrior for bonus health.

Rothems Visage with lythite coating to make the armour indestructible. Slowly wear your opponent down with sledgehammer and haste allies in for kill with Rothem's Visage.

That's essentially the strategy of the deck in a nutshell.

Among worse I d put (sorted descendingly by level of horribleness): pre-Gambit & Anmors Call nerf Victor, Maze Trap Victor (which is still an issue today), pre-ITF ban Gwen, pre-Tactician nerf RD "Stealer" Baduruu, Moonstaller (which seems to have got some revamping cards and decks by creative players with LL2), pre-nerf (broken) Sosilo Lance and pre-VerErgon nerf Zhanna (fortunatelly I don t think I ever stumbled across VoW Stall Zhanna). Thinking about it Lay Low Lance was also pretty annoying. Also not really a fan of Ability Stall mages but with these I can live. Somehow I never felt Stall Vess that horrible, though I do acknowledge it needs some intervention (even today when many above mentioned decks are luckily history).

Anything that makes it so there is only one player engaging in the match while the other just sits around waiting to lose. Solo Gwen, Darkclaw for instance.

Any kind of a mill or stall deck as the game already plays a little slow. Don’t need any help making it longer.

I don’t mind the Vess so much. Have an absolute hatred for Moonstalker though.

Other than that, not much from myself.
