    Beginner's Eladwen - control/rush

A little write up for Beginner's favourite - Eladwen

    Hero: Eladwen Frostmire

    Allies (20):
    4x Layarian Knight ~400g
    3x Aldon the Brave ~430g
3x Priest of the Light ~460g
    3x Layarian Seductress ~550g
    2x Tainted Oracle ~450g
    2x Phoenix Urigon ~680g
2x Viska, The Scarlet Blade ~300g
    1x Kion the Magnificent ~3200g

    Abilities (16):
    2x Retreat! ~100g
    4x Fireball ~150g
    4x Lightning Strike ~150g
    4x Supernova ~260g
    2x Ley Line Nexus ~400g

    Items (4):
    4x Amulet of Conjuring ~120g

    40 cards ~ 15900g

    Your play going first is:
    T1 sac
    T2 sac, play Layarian Knight
T3 sac, play Aldon the Brave or Priest of the Light
T4 play Tainted Oracle or Phoenix Urigon or Lightning Strike

    Your play going second is:
    T1 sac
T2 sac, play Layarian Knight or Retreat
T3 sac, play Layarian Seductress or Fireball
T4 sac, play Tainted Oracle or Phoenix Urigon or Lightning Strike

    Points to note:
This is a control rush deck. You are able to switch between control mode and aggro mode.

Play control against aggro-type opponent. Use you spell on their allies and play your allies to wrestle for the board. Finish off with spell when they are in your kill range.

Play aggro against control-type opponent. Play minimal number of allies to disrupt their plan and absorb some damages. Use your spell on their face.

In both cases, Amulet of Conjuring is the key card of the deck, make sure you keep your draw flowing.

Pretty decent for SEF challenge, able to go over 300+ and tournament.

Nice write up! However, would you explain more on when to use your Amulet? I believe it will be a little difficult for beginners. Since the drawback of Amulet destroy your resources, how to make it work with your fatties which costs around 5-7?
    Thanks!

    Thanks Index.

The ideal time to drop amulet is around T6-7, so that you can have enough resources to play your fatties.

Note that the amulet deducts "unused" resource. Therefore its optimal to play 1 card first, then activate amulet for draw, and play another card. In that way you can still fully utilise your resources.

A higher level trick is to play around seductress. Let's say originally you are at 1 resource higher than your opponent. You can play 1 card, activate amulet (resource drop by 1), then play seductress. In that case you can get the cripple effect from her.

While Kion is good card and definitely worth the investment of 3200g in the long run, I think it would be nice to have suggestions for replacements for new players until they get enough gold to buy Kion. For example a Puwen or Bandit so they have better odds of playing an ally on turn 2.
