Wulven Resilience & ally ablaze + poison

Game: SEF Mango Vs red snake eyes

In the game, I attacked and killed Molten Destroyer with a poisoned Wulven ally which had Wulven Resilience attached. The ally took 1 damage when dealing damage (should be 0) and then at start of my next turn, took 1 damage from either fire or poison, not sure.

It's great we have got to a point that we can assume not bug by default and try to think up a game reason for the behaviour!

Though maybe this is a sign we should make it clearer what is currently relevant on board affecting things. But then is this too much help for players? Playing physical MTG, your opponent doesn't get any special tips about what is about to smack him in the face when he doesn't notice it, for example.
