even funny is some can offer draw (for whatever reason) to prolong the streak, that's wrong imo, if we're going to do something on best score, the calculation of streak needs to be rectified as well
Streaks should end at a draw.

lol. Have the love how definitive Phillip is here with his response.

xD I do not see him as wrong though. If you do not win, there is no more streak.

i do not believe in any sport they would say you have a 5 game winning streak. or do they?

American football or basketball have sudden death if you draw. If you don't want to add such a feature to Shadow Era (and nobody wants to add that), then just skip draws for the streak and go on. There's no need to add penalties for draws.

I'd rather make a distinction betwen genuine draws and 'offer draws'.

For the former I'm ok with the streak going on. For the latter it should end.

We could make policy to declare wintrading punishable with a ban for example, but since it can be hard to prove it sometimes it could lead to namecalling and arguments between guilds.
Wintrading might be tough to prove in single occasions, unless it clearly looks like someone just throwing the match, but you can see a pattern if it happens regularly. From there you can prove it. I don't think it would be an issue though, because I'd like to believe , the guilds I know, would not sink that low.

In case that it happens, I wouldn't issue a ban, people tend to make bad choices, only reset all the progress for the season with a warning that it shouldn't happen again.

Other games make you lose if you die on your turn. So supernova "draw" would just be a loss.

Yeah, I never understood why those decks can get away with a draw when they have zero chance to win, while their opponents have some.

Every game does it differently. Here is what Eternal does

/The one with the lower life total loses. If that is a tie, then the player with the least amount of cards in their deck loses. If that is a tie, then the player that went second wins./

This is all horses for courses, there is no ‘right’ way. I’m fine with what SE does now - if both players die on a turn then nobody wins.

In Mtg it's a draw if both die simultaneously.
