Neat little card. I especially like Jericho there in the artwork.

Tiny priests are coming XD
So when you put it on e.g. viska and your opponent kills it your hero heals 6 hp? It also work with cards like mind control ? Guess that's awesome

That would be my understanding. Seeing as in order for something to die, it has to be dealt lethal damage. So, Mind Control should be a wasted card in that instance unless you deal lethal damage with the ally.
Mind Control Viska = 3 damage
Viska Dies
Sacred Martyr = 6 health healed
So, you actually heal 3 life in total!
Wow!

I’m sure that for an ally to die, it needs to be dealt lethal damage.
That is why if you use Mind Control on Viska you see a red “6” when it dies.
Same with Assassination The Bigger They Are The Harder They Fall etc.
So, you should heal when your ally is killed since it was dealt lethal damage.
Mango is right, insta-kill cards are generally coded as "deals however much damage is needed in order to kill the ally", so if you had an ally with 20 HP, Mind Control would effectively deal it 20 damage. You can see this with something like Dakrath getting killed by an MC, Dakrath's effect will still try to reduce the damage and trigger the discard effect, but enough damage goes through for the kill.Originally Posted by phillipw123

I see, we don't have enough stall priests, let's give them more tools. This can make nova absolutely uselesss
I milled fat Garth with rush Loest. Twice.
I stalled Moonstaller with Rothem.
I played Ter with monopoly cards and 4x toll bridge and managed to win a tournament.
I cast Portal and Kris in one turn and lived to tell the tale.
Healing is not stalling. Rain Delay is stall. You can argue that Holy Shield is stall. But healing is different conceptually. In fact healing is probably the defining characteristic of priests or clerics in SE, D&D, or any fantasy game. Healing is what priests do.
