Anyways, @holyspecter because your entire account will be restored from backup, I doubt any progress you make will be transferred back. So you can still play, it's just your progress will probably not be awarded to your restored account.

As far as I know, the database are backed up hourly. Worst case scenario is you'd only be losing a couple of EXP points since everything is logged.
