I'm totally in agreement with the select target idea for Riphide. I think that would help this tribe a lot. I've been playing a Bloodfang wolven tribe deck in multiplayer for the past few weeks now and I am really enjoying the play style. Riphide definitely feels underpowered, which is unfortunate because he is (or should be) the cast of choice for Bloodfang to spend his shadow energy on for a wolven tribe deck.
I'd actually like to see something more along the lines of "target oppossing ally is exiled from the game" or "target opposing ally is killed" instead of an attack. IMO this would give Riphide a little more staying power, and a viable option to deal with big baddies, which is just what the wolven tribe needs.
But just the 'target ally' add would be great tweak!

In what game is horor better then riphitide?
But it requires two allies on board, so if you are losing and opponent have taken the board you probably won't be able to play Torn Apart unless you have at least 8 resources and two 2cc allies in hand with Torn Apart.

It can be difficult to pull off. What it does help against though is those bad Warrior and Priest matchups if they Crippling Blow or Zails Hymn some of your allies.
You can try to focus on other combinations to make it work more consistently. One way would be to have Howlfang in your deck so when you summon him with your ability you will have the chance to use Torn Apart right after. That or you just make sure to load up on multiple 2 and 3 cost allies.
Maybe even Dreadclaw Totem so that you have a back up when your ally dies.
I play BloodFang quite a bit and have been looking for the right combination myself. It is not easy to pull off Torn Apart but it really should not be. Just needing 2 allies in play that don’t even need to be free of status effects to kill ANY ally is dam strong. Assassination might be better but if your ally is disabled, Frozen or exhausted, it is garbage. Torn Apart is good through all of that. Plus you still get to attack with the allies afterwards.
So, it does have its limitations but it needs them because the value you get for it is immense. Oh, I didn’t even touch on the +1 health that screws your opponents plans on clearing the board.
P.S.
Make Riphide targeted!
