In all matches I played, as I will always prefer to lock the hero with the greatest status, and not the one with lowest health

My other allies on board can deal with the small ones, Riphide should deal with the fatties

You can manipulate your allies health values to anticipate a future Riphide. Or, you can summon multiple small allies to use as meat shield. With Horror, the strongest opposing ally (attack wise) will always be locked down.

There have been many times when my opponent would lower the health of lesser allies when I’m a turn away from 5 Shadow Energy just to limit my effectiveness with Riphide. I have done the same as well.

The on summon ability is very strong but highly volatile as you can end up killing something that has no bearing on the game. That is why we ask for the ability to have it targeted. This way we at least have the option of ramming it into the biggest threat on our opponents side.

For an ally that costs 7 and is Unique, I think this is a fair request.

I'm not opposed to this change but if it goes through doesn't Crusher of the Weak become dead content

No way. Crusher of the Weak is the only fatty Wulven has that is not unique allowing you to spam them late game.

Also, Crusher of the Weak serves a very specific purpose of eliminating allies with cost 3 or less.

Riphide though has an ability that allows it to come in and strike an ally. Problem is the ability can act along the lines of Crusher of the Weak depending on opposing allies health Values. That is a problem.

Look at Kion and Vull. 7 cost allies with huge abilities that are game altering.

Having a 7cc ally that is forced to attack a Layarian Knight when summoned because it has lowest health... it just seems so dam weak when manipulated so easily.

To be honest I don't even use Riphide in Bloodfang because 9 times out of 10 he does the same thing as Crusher, and Crusher is 6cc, targets, and exiles.

Instead of Riphide 2, it would have been nice to give Bloodfang a fatty that filled another role. Like a defensive anti-rush option or something since Bloodfang isn't a real hero until like t5. Maybe something like 7cc, 2/8, Wulven Ally - Wulven. "When this ally is summoned, target one opposing ally and shuffle it into the owner's deck. Your hero takes 1 less damage from all sources."

I'd tech one of those specifically for all the weenie rush decks there are. The only problem would be balancing it around Moonstaller and Facehunter Darkclaw.

It is true about Riphide not making as much a difference as Crusher. I said as much in my comment.

Others have said so as well.

That is why we want it targeted.

Like I said before, 7 CC, unique, should be targeted

Bumping up this thread. Still stays valid in current LL2 meta. It s true that Wulvens got some nice tools but there is still place for this change in-game. A 7cc Unique fatty should give more utility than it currently does, can t always be bothered to resort to only Torn Apart (requiring 2 allies present on board) regarding fatty removal. I hope this thread has attracted enough positive feedback for the proposed change with next game update, because, honestly, it s time Riphide took his due place among dangerous fatties.

Lol, tribe might not be in the "sewer" anymore but this change still stands due (and won t make the tribe itself overpowered; strong - yes, but not overpowered).

Thanks for not letting this die Leo.

I am still also on the side of this needing to be changed. Still hope that we can get this done.
