    Is aggro a thing?

    Hello community,
I was hoping to get the thoughts of some experienced players about the aggro play style and which heroes you all would recommend in order to build a competitive aggro deck (if its possible in the current meta). Ideally a deck that could potentially get to 300+. I've tried many different heroes, not all of which took an aggro approach. Had moderate success with Serena and Elementalis....even had some success with a Majiya control deck....and by success I mean a few win streaks and getting a rating of 250+, which I understand isn't too terribly good but it took me a while to get there so I'm somewhat proud of it for now. Any ideas for some aggro builds I could try out? Or just some general direction would be fine too. Thanks for reading.

Yes aggro is a thing although a bit different than in most other TCGs. 1cc allies in this game are really weak so most aggro decks instead plays more 2cc allies. I would say there are 2 types of aggro decks in SE. First one is classic ally based deck, throughout the game most of your damage comes from your allies. Other kind uses allies early on, but in mid and late game can shift to using abilites to finish the job.

At first group I would put Praxix, Elementalis:

    Hero: Elementalis

    Allies (27):
    4x Rapacious Vermin ~120g
    4x Feasterling ~400g
    3x Infernal Gargoyle ~100g
    2x Death Mage Thaddeus ~200g
    3x Rampant Krygon ~300g
    3x Grimghast ~300g
    4x Murderous Hulk ~300g
    4x Stardust Extractor ~120g

    Abilities (13):
    1x Relentless Savagery ~900g
    4x Shadowspawn ~100g
    1x Energy Discharge ~200g
    3x Mind Control ~310g
    4x Exaltation ~300g

    Hero: Praxix

    Allies (32):
    2x Plightbred Runt ~120g
    2x Rapacious Vermin ~120g
4x Harbinger of the Lost ~120g
    4x Feasterling ~400g
    4x Rampant Krygon ~300g
    4x Brimstone Devourer ~720g
    4x Reactorary ~300g
    4x Xar Modulator ~200g
    4x Falseblood Cultist ~720g

    Abilities (4):
    4x Exaltation ~300g

    Items (3):
    3x Meat Wagon ~300g

    40 cards ~ 13820g

In the other group would be Loest/Eladwen, Majiya, Zaladar:

    Zaladar

    Allies (18):
    4x Feasterling
    2x Infernal Gargoyle
    2x Death Mage Thaddeus
    2x Rampant Krygon
    4x Brimstone Devourer
    4x Falseblood Cultist

    Abilities (14):
    1x Bad Santa
    2x Energy Extraction
    1x Soul Reaper
    4x Shadow Font
    4x Mind Control
    2x Ley Line Nexus

    Items (8):
    4x Antimatter
    2x Shadowvein
    2x Soulbound Armor

    Eladwen

x4 Kris, Puwen, Aldon, Priest of the Light, Tainted Oracle
x4 Fireball, Lightning Strike, Supernova, Bad Santa
    x3 Treasured Heirloom

Or to tech vs Spelleaters play Loest and/or Lay Line Nexus:

x4 Kris, Puwen, Aldon, Priest of the Light, Tainted Oracle
x4 Fireball, Lightning Strike, Supernova, Bad Santa
x2 Honored Dead, x1 Ley Line Nexus

    Hero: Majiya

    Allies (18):
    3x Feasterling
    3x Masked Bandit
    2x Infernal Gargoyle
    3x Death Mage Thaddeus
    3x Eternal Troll
    4x Phoenix Urigon

    Abilities (19):
    3x Sacrificial Lamb
    4x Fireball
    4x Lightning Strike
    2x Transmogrification Curse
    4x Supernova
    2x Ley Line Nexus

    Items (3):
    3x Amulet of Conjuring

    Veles,
thank you for such a detailed response. I will definitely try these builds and see where it goes. I've yet to play Praxix so I think I'll start there. Should be interesting. Thanks again for your help.

Tried all of the builds except Zaladar....They all worked out fairly well but I found the prax build to be right up my alley. A ton of fun to play. It got me cursed at in chat a few times. Which I'm totally fine with.

Here's my Moonstalker which took me to rank one not too long ago.. While not exactly Aggro Per se (it's definitely more of a mid range deck) it can still function very aggressively if you choose to do so.

    4 Harbinger Of The Lost
    4 Death Mage Thaddeus
    3 Death Collectir
    4 Corpse Shifter
    4 Death Knight
    2 Forgotten Horror

    4 Blood Moon
    4 Tombstone Beacon
    4 Now Your Mine
    4 Grave Resistance
    2 Kiruth: Thaddeus' Vault

So you can play it two ways. You can either set up card draw early (turn 2 blood moon turn 3 Beacon) giving up on tempo in favor of a massive card / resource advantage. Or you can come out swinging. Generally you go the card draw route unless you play against a super Aggro opponent, or also a if you face a stall / mill deck at the other end of the spectrum

TT - which stands for “Tiny Tala” but also the “TT” is for all the crying you do if you have Location counters.

It is a fast deck with a ton of comback potential. It also has very big weaknesses.

Another fun deck is Raikka Homunc

    Raikka Spellseeker

    Allies:
    3x Rotling
    4x Barrenland Gremlin
    3x Plightbred Runt
    4x Fatebreak Familiar
    4x Voracious Arachnid
    4x Brimstone Devourer

    Items:
    4x Abomination Factory
    4x Splicer’s Crown

    Abilities:
4x Bad Santa or 2x Bad Santa/2x Loom of Fate for an additional target for Gremlin.
    2x Spontaneous Growth

    Location:
    4x Rankett: Proving Grounds

Someone might have a better list but this deck can win games by turn 3. You want to talk about Agro, don’t think it gets more than that.

Aggro=Aggressive. Look at my “The Flash” Zaladar deck (very advanced playstyle) or my Gravebella (Portal based beatdown).

Just dumping allies is not as viable as it used to be. Find a deck with good combos/tribes and fun with it.
