    Campaign News (Baduruu)

I'm very pleased to announce we have released the first Shadow hero story in the campaign, which is told over the ten 1-star difficulty missions on Map 1 for Baduruu.

To access it, simply load up your favorite Baduruu deck (or choose to load the Starter deck) and head to the Campaign screen.

Do let us know how you get on and whether you enjoy the dialogue, since this has been written by a new writer, who we hope to use on future hero missions.

Thanks for reading and good luck!

    It's good. Keep them coming!

But why is Baduruu calling Elementals Aldmor?

    And who are Celestials?!

I would recommend going down on some fancy words. Some parts of the dialogue have overdramatic vibe to them.

The Aldmor that ascended became the Elementals.

You want a reduction in fancy words? I don't recall many being in there.

    Thanks for the feedback nevertheless.

Doing hard mode atm with Baduruu. Most need special tech in decks but are reasonable, except in two cases:

Elementalis took me forever to beat. Double Spark + Ogloth as openning, Bloodlust on t3, Mind Controls later on. Some of these would need to be removed imo. Managed to win by stalling with Rain Delay and ITF and then using Yahari: Valley of Doom to get rid of weenies + Frozen Horror to deal with Ogloth and to control the board from that point onward. Basically everything needs to be drawn at perfect time to win.

    Hero: Baduruu

    Allies (6):
    1x Spitfire Hound
    1x Snowland Spotter
    4x Forgotten Horror

    Abilities (12):
    4x Into the Forest
    4x Pack an Extra
    4x Rain Delay

    Items (9):
    4x Bazaar
    1x Arthyle's Crypt
    4x Soul Seeker

    Locations (4):
    4x Yahari: Valley of Doom

    = 32 cards ~ 12300g

    T2: Bazaar
T3: Rain Delay/ITF or hope AI doesnt play Bloodlust which sometimes happens.
    T4: ITF/Rain Delay
    T5: Rain Delay/ITF
T6: Depends if AI plays Belladona. If he does then you need to play Soul Seeker + ITF and kill Belladona before playing Forgotten Horror, othervise FH will kill Beladona not Ogloth. If he plays more 3cc allies then play Yahari and Forgotten Horror
T7 Depending what happened on previous turn you will play Forgotten Horror or a weapon and hope he plays another Beladona so you can heal. At some point AI will use Mind Control on your Forgoten Horror.

from this point onwards play Horrors and heal with SS

Arthyles Crypt is there because AI has more cards than you and you will otherwise run out of ways to kill his allies since he has MCs to use on your FH.
Spitfire Hound is here to kill your own bazaar once you make your set up so AI runs out of tempo. Another thing you can do is to stall late game a turn by playing horror and rain delay and then next turn use Spitfire Hound to destroy Rain Delay.

Other hard one is Lance. Still haven't beaten it. Too much damage early. It looks like Baduruus ability is one turn too late and not even Shadow Font helps. At least Priests of the Light should be removed from AIs deck, or make it so it draws them late in the game. Or changing Kurths to Marshland Sentinels so they die to Emore Crossbow at least.

If I am missing some way to deal with these bit better, help would be appreciated.

    Hero: Baduruu

    Allies (6):
    2x Plasma Behemoth
    4x Wendith Eagle-eye

    Abilities (10):
    4x Flaming Arrow
    2x Hunter's Gambit
    4x Shadow Font

    Items (13):
    4x Snare Trap
    2x Ricochet Trap
    3x Soul Seeker
    4x Grundler's Double

    = 30 cards ~ 10280g

AI Starts with Erika and Kurth

    t2 Snare Trap - Kills Nightshade/Dirk
t3 Flaming Arrow on Erika/Ricochet Trap - Erika dies, AI plays PotL
t4 Shadow Font, summon Groundlers Double, kill PotL - AI plays Potl, uses ability on Kurth
t5 Play Wendith, kill Kurth - AI suicides PotL into weapon, plays PotL and Nightshade
t6 Kill PotL and Nightshade - AI plays Lay Low and Bridgette
    t7 Nothing/play Plasma - AI does nothing
t8 Kill bridgette - AI bugs out

I did the same order but this time I had SS in play not GD and I decided to keep Bridgette alive instead of killing her. AI then played Assassinate on her to kill my Wendith. Game didnt bug out and I got sweet Sac Lamb foil after getting the win. I guess either GD or not having a target to play Assassinate is what breaks it.

The SS route to win looks like:

    t2 Snare Trap - Kills Nightshade/Dirk
t3 Flaming Arrow on Erika/Ricochet Trap - Erika dies, AI plays PotL
t4 Shadow Font, summon SS, kill PotL - AI plays Potl, uses ability on Kurt
t5 Play Wendith, kill PotL - AI suicides Kurt into weapon, plays PotL and Nightshade
t6 Kill PotL and Nightshade with Flaming Arrow/Gambit - AI plays Lay Low and Bridgette
    t7 Nothing/play Plasma - AI does nothing
t8 DO NOT KILL bridgette - AI uses assassinate on Bridgette and kills Wendith.
t9 Play Wendith/Plasma, you can kill Bridgette now.
