Missing cards in merchant

I was confused and frustrated that I couldn’t find some cards to buy in the merchant. I was looking all over the forums to see if these cards were banned, innaccessible to buy, or what. Eventually I found a post that mentioned that some cards disappear from the merchant temporarily if many players buy them.

Can someone please clarify to me how exactly this works? How often should I check back? Are there any cards that are never available to buy?

Once I sold some cards to save up to buy a card just to find that it was gone.

Also, this is very confusing to new players. I saw no in-game explanation. It’s hard enough to filter through the collection to find cards (e.g. try finding all templars), but when some cards are just gone it is much worse. The cards should at least appear and say “sold out - try back in X days”.


Edit: I did find the comment in the in-game FAQ that cards can be sold out. But it did not say that the card will disappear so you can’t even find it, nor did it give any details such as timeframe for restocking etc.

Also, the merchant will occasionally restock. We don't know what the schedule is, however, so we just have to keep looking.

Agree that it should be at least a “sold out” stamp over the cards
