I´ve been player of MTG (psyhical cards of course). And after many years of break I decided to try if something like MTG do not exist on Android.

Played ShadowEra and Hearhstone, SE won the competiton (very easily, I was 30 and Hearthstone is for kids obviously).

I am glad that SE nowadays reaching that point to be released for masses (good single, good multi, enough cards...). I hope there will be some massive advertising after those thinks will be done.

My story is very similar to maskee's.

Old mtg player 40 years young now. Bored with the war games I had been playing, tried both hearthstone, SE, and a handful of others, it took a little while, getting past some visual issues, plus it took a while for me to realize how good the game actually was.. My son played hearthstone so I knew quickly it wouldn't be a very good game. SE was exactly what I was hoping for, mtg but smoother, faster. Wide range of ways to play, free to play. Last 3 years it's been my go to game.

I found Shadow Era due to my ever growing amount of free time spent on the internet. I was playing and was heavily involved with the online community for a game called Lost Saga. This was around the time where the gaming content on Youtube started to appeal to me and Totalbuscuit introduced me to the game via his "WTF is..." series. Since I found MTG at a young age where I didn't have money or transportation to enjoy it, a card game that I could play at any time, anywhere, was extremely appealing to me and there was nothing else like it at the time. So I got started, joined in on the community and did just like I had learned from being a Community GM for Lost Saga which got AnAdolt's attention (the Community Manager at the time) and he offered me a Moderating position which kept me into the game and the community even more. Been a heck of a ride, that's for sure!

I found SE because I was looking for an alternative to MTG. Some things could be better such as a bigger community...more cards (but not too many) but all in all SE is a far superior game in terms of strategy based thinking. Glad I stumbled upon it.
