In my limited time spend to this game and forums I have read quite a few threads about overused and overpowered cards.
Nerfing cards, if the are NOT braking the game which in that case nerf is needed, results in an endless loop imo.
if a card is nerfed because is overused, in a while some other card will take its place. What then? Nerf that one too?
From my community experience I have witnesed quit a few complaints about games meta needs some refreshing change. In my opinion this change could be implemented in two ways:
1) With the intoduction of new cards that further improoves the already good balance of the game and may make some older, less used cards see more play again. (please dont shoot me down yet for stating the obious)
This, in my opinion, is the best way for the game to move forward but it has some drawbacks as well. Making new cards in a steady pace requires large amount of funds to keep its exellent quallity in art and ballance.
2) with the buffing of some older cards that dont see much game time in the current meta.
This option could greatly refresh the game in a much cheaper way than introducing new cards since art already exists.
The impact that this will have to the physical game could be minimised by letting this part of game to have its own format.
The digital game being somewhat dynamic could bring many oldplayers back, more discusions about the new cards, more decks and eventually a happier players base.
Your thoughts if you please...
PS An article about changes to older cards. The author when he wrote it, didnt have board possition. They are simply some suggestions made by a player. Nothing more, nothing less.
