Banebow: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

    hi All,

oldtimer returning to the game trying to make his comeback to deckbuilding

Banebow used to be my No.1 hero of choice, so i've been thinking about a deck that i could run in QMs and have some fun with mixing old and new cards and came up with this idea of utilizing Bloodstone Altar and Grimjaw Hydra

the idea is to survive early game while setting up Altar and then drop a Hydra with (ideally) Rampant in hand making Hydra 7 ATK the next turn which, at that stage, shouldn't be anything less than "deal with me or i kill you next turn"

would LOVE some ideas as this is just a work-in-progress and i have honestly not even tested the deck yet

    Banebow

    Allies (18):
    4x Feasterling
    3x Death Mage Thaddeus
    4x Rampant Krygon
    2x Shadow Knight
    2x Furrion Terror
    3x Grimjaw Hydra

    Abilities (12):
    2x Sacrificial Lamb
    4x Hunter's Gambit
    2x Sever Ties
    2x The Perfect Shot
    2x Ley Line Nexus

    Items (9):
    3x Bloodstone Altar
    2x Wrath of the Forest
    4x Soul Seeker

actually, i am just thinking that the +1 ATT from Altar might not be worth the 3 slots and that i could swap it for Arthyle's Crypt to keep the ally flow more consistent

this deck is bad. metagame oftoday prize mob rush, by the time you drop hydra is enough a priest deck to hymn it or warrior to maim it and your deck is gone. i saw some ravager banebow decks which are very interesting.

Yes. Ravager BB is out there. Not as popular as Undead though.

    Ravager can be something like:

    Allies:
    2x Spitfire Hound
    4x Feasterling
    4x Ravager Zealot
    4x Hellfire Besieger

    Abilities:
    4x Hunter's Gambit
    4x Survivalist
    2x Melt Down

    Items:
    4x Weevil-tipped Crossbow
    3x Thriss Assault Plinth
    4x Thriss Crucible
    3x Helm of Saymeht
    2x Soul Seeker

    Hero + 40

Not that exact setup but working from there you could get something going.

    Seems very ally-light for Banebow.

    I'd probably go
    -1 Thriss Assault Plinth
    -1 Thriss Crucible
    -1 Helm of Saymeht
    -2 Meltdown

    +4 Cleric of the Asyn
    +1 Spitfire Hound

Maybe also swap 2x Hellfire Besieger out for 2x Murderous Hulk, or perhaps 2x Thriss Demolitionist.
