Wasn't meant as a whinge just an observation that a lot of the playstyles are not a lot of fun to actually play against. As they don't provide a lot of move and counter move.

My dislike of locations continues to grow and my interest in playing starts to wane as they become more common.

Your not the only one who hates locations. Many hate them and think they make this game worse all the time.
Its not event he effect which is the problem but that there free to put down. They shouldn't be a turn restriction but a SE cost to place down. Instead of T4 to place, it should be like 3 SE to put down. It would make the game better.
