Raikka Ability + Brimstone Devourer

If Raikka's ability is triggered, will Brimstone Devourer do 4 damage to the ally with the lowest health when discarded?

That is to say: does BD's ability damage count as coming from a friendly ally? And if not, i presume Molten Destroyer damaged by a discarded BD would ping the hero?

Hiya. The ally is never considered in play as an ally so can't be affected by Raikka's ability. Also, even if it were considered an ally, it's not a friendly ally until on the board next to her (which it never is). Beyond that, because the ally is never in play as an ally, the damage can't be attributed to it so the default source of the controller's hero (Raikka) is used.

If opposing Molten Destroyer gets damaged by it then Raikka will take 1 damage.
