I really hate to say this, because I love SE, but I don't think SE has a compelling enough world to support an RPG. There would have to be a TON more content.
I don't disagree - but that's what makes it appealing to me. Its somewhat of a blank slate. Would be fun to fill in the massive blanks.

There isn't even an "interest" in the physical card game, yet.
While that may or may not be true, it's not really relevant. Those wishing to the play card game can do so online for free. Those wishing to play an RPG in the Shadow Era universe cannot. The classes are already identified, and the skills, artifacts, and creatures likewise already exist and just need to be more well defined. Assuming the heroes in the CCG are all maxed out adventurers, there is a well defined path for advancement. It would be a non-trivial endeavor, but with much of the required aretwork already in existence, the usual cost inhibitors to development would not be there. Essentially, it could be developed in a few months and I think it would be a reasonably decent seller with its existing fan base. Probably using a new proprietary system for action resolution, rather than relying on D20 or D6.
The core book could be sold as an e-book ($10), soft cover ($30), or hard cover ($45). The existing player list could be used for kickstarter funding and for advertising. I'd do it myself for a reasonable development fee + a 5% royalty.
