And maybe less time consuming in general. I didn't think about before... To have 48 hours free would not be easy.
And I should get onliine also with pro tour event in the same way...
You don't need 48 hours free. It's basically the Saturday but within their time zone for about 6-7 hours depending on numbers. e.g. Saturday 5am GMT for the Asia/Oceania one, Saturday 1pm GMT for Europe and Saturday 9pm GMT for Americas which will overflow to Sunday if you are not actually in the timezone it's aimed at.

Very bad news, i have not so much time.
I never have time to play big tournaments during the year, so it was the only chance to make the WC qualifiers, and now i'm automatically out.
ok...it's not a a big loss for SE, but i'm really disappointed

If you're in Italy, then the qualifier will be something like 1pm on the Sunday for you for about 6 hours and you are free to choose to do the Asia or Americas one instead. If you can't do a weekend then there will be one weekday wildcard as well. Potentially, we might be able to use the in-game tournaments for something too (hence me specifying 3 or 4 people per regional will qualify), but I can't guarantee anything at this stage.

Due to popular demand and hopefully to clear up some confusion as to how much time you have to leave free, here are the times of the regionals.

Gondo its not a bad idea but I don't think that is a good time for some players including myself I think it would be better if you just progress the tournament over time so its not rushed maybe in stead of 6-8 hours maybe 1 week would be better

That would be a scheduling nightmare. It's hard enough giving people one week to schedule their matches for a single round.

Here's a quote from one person about last year's Swiss and how hard some people were to schedule with:

"a request for next year... no more swiss. *do the popup style in one day thing. *these stall tactics are REALLY getting on my nerves."

Whilst I appreciate there are benefits to using the WC2015 system (hence why I went to all the trouble of it last year), the system we've picked this year has a lot going for it as well, which I think I've covered already. We used it in 2014 for qualifying and I can't remember any issues.
