There are many combos to pull off with this deck, but most importantly you want to get Anmor's Call and Wrath of the Forest in play. If you can get those two out without falling too far behind you're in good shape, although this deck also has great comeback potential.
I rarely see a deck with Sheperdess. I think she's great, especially in this deck. Any ally you know is headed to the graveyard you can use her ablity to renew a few resources. A good example of this is Demetryo. Also useful if an ally is crippled or disabled some other way. If you're a little short on resources to cast one more spell, I think it's worth using on an ally even if it isn't going to die. Especially with Anmor's Call and Wrath of the Forest in play. And if you have two or more Sheperdesses, you can really have a big turn.
A card I added that I don't think Keavan's included is Road Less Traveled. Like Sheperdess you can use this on allies headed to the graveyard or disabled to draw a few more cards. It's also good to use on Demetryo or if you're opponent has an ally that you can't otherwise get rid of. Just make sure their hand isn't full.
I rarely need Matriarch, but if she happens to make it to her next turn she can really do some damage. Once again, Demetryo is a great candidate. And if you have a Matriarch and Sheperdess in play you can have some huge turns.
What makes this deck tricky is that eventually your opponents will realize that killing your allies only makes you bigger and stronger. So they may start to just attack your hero instead. That's when you pull out The Last Harvest to pump up your allies and then hit them with Overwhelm.
This deck is loads of fun when it goes off. I hope anyone who tries it has as much fun as I do. Of course any suggestions are welcome.
