    Wulven RD Baduruu

Resource Destruction (Denial) + Wulven allies = Consistency.

    v3.15

    Hero: Baduruu

    Allies (14):
    4x Wulven Traitor ~900g
    4x Wulven Scout ~120g
    2x Wildfang, Wulven Renegade ~1400g
    4x Wulven Tactician ~120g

    Abilities (5):
    1x Shriek of Vengeance ~100g
    4x Here Be Monsters ~80g

    Items (20):
    4x Snare Trap ~100g
    4x Cobraskin Wraps ~400g
    4x Night Prowler ~420g
    4x Grundler's Double ~800g
    4x Emore Crossbow ~1100g

    Locations (0)

    = 40 cards ~ 19260g

There is one point that RD Baduruu deck got better since SF. In SF, his really valid t2 play was only snare trap. He could use 4 Karash but it made Wulven Tactitian hard to be effective. Now we have solid t2 play that is also a wulven ally.

This deck is very hard to play (especially saccing!) since it requires you to have knowledge of many other popular decks. You need to guess what opponent has in their hand and what they wanna play....to deny that!

Chaining RD is easy part. You just keep playing Cobraskin Wrap and HBM as many as you draw. One thing to keep in mind is how you are goning to end the chain and what to play in the transition at 4 resource. Tactitian is the typical play there.

    How to play:

    Going First

    t2 Wulven Traitor/Skip
    t3 Wulven Scout/Snare Trap
    t4- HBM or CsW
    4 Res. Tactitian
5 Res. Night Prowler (Win con)

    Going Second
    t2 Snare Trap/Wulven Traitor
    t3 HBM/Wildfang
    t4 RD cards
4 Res. Tactitian or Death trap
    5 Res. Night Prowler

Also, one thing you should remember is that you can skip sac on t1 going first if you have snare trap and HBM in opening hand, and don't have Traitor and Scout. It's advantageous most of the time since it lets you keep more cards in hand without losing the board.

    Looks good as always.

    1. With so few allies, does Wulven Traitor become not very good.

    2. Do you not find you need SS against mages?

    1. He's not the core of the deck. RD is the main thing and traitor is just another solid t2 play that has a bit of synergy with few others, and it's something still needs to be dealt with.

    2. SS is only needed if they play 2 or more priest of the light in a row. When mages pull that off, it's probably gg for many heroes so it's not really worth considering in deck building. Also 5cc weapon in general is good to have when A) you are low on cards and B) your first weapon is destroyed, and C) you don't have allies to work with. All of this needs to happen at once to justify 5cc weapon.

    Nice deck!

Maybe you can try decoy trap, combo with tactician it's deadly.

4 Prowler seems too much tho. Need some item d (e.g. LLN) or control card (e.g. vision of endia)

Yeah decoy trap is good. As for 4 NP, I can only say it has to be 4 in this deck. It's precisely how this deck wins. Perhaps you think you need LLN because you don't run 4 NP. They would have no chance playing 5cc weapon. if I were to add item d, itd be SoV.

Besides, mixing decoy and snare in the same deck would create a mind game - opponent has to guess what trap is deployed.

I have never tried 4 NP in a deck. I would give it a try. Thanks for sharing

    -3 death trap
    +2 wulven renegade
    +1 SoV

Death trap was the only way stop Knight of Unaxio from doing Sosilo thing in 3.14. Now it's gone so renegade is added as solid 3cc card. 1 SoV because there are decks that play items in t2-4. SoV into HBM is a good play since CotC.

This deck is the meta defining one in 3.15. Dominant deck of the meta. That means you always have to build your deck asking if you can beat this deck's t2-5. Just like Banebow in DP and discard Zaladar in SF. You don't stand a chance in QM if you can't beat this.

I think it's both good and bad. Good because this deck has such a unique gameplay and new players are now encouraged to learn it. Bad because RD is NPE to play against most of the time.

Cards like blood moon, blood frenzy, weevil tipped crossbow, spirit warden and PotL will see more play.

That's a bit of an overstatement considering only about 20% of the top 100 players use Baduruu (and not necessarily this build). The deck is very good, but you can still do well in qm and do poorly against this particular matchup.

And even with a top rating, many of your games are with players with ratings not in the top 100 that do not use Baduruu.
