What do you mean by farming? Fighting IA opponemts in the "world" view just to get coins and exp.?
Is exp (and levelling) useful for something else than "being level X"?

Yes, farming is beating the AI over and over to gain Gold and EXP. Your level doesn't really matter that much, but you do gain 25 Shadow Crystals upon leveling up.

As you gain levels the amount of gold increases for winning. Nothing drastic, still vs the AI when you still have only a tiny library to work from is probably the easiest way to generate gold quickly. Of course you can earn more money against humans in rated, but the games are longer and the amount you win is dependent on your rank.

I really hope you didn't sell off your initial deck. Generally speaking it's a good idea to keep your cards and only sell them if you have more than 4 copies with the obvious exception of the heroes, other wise you just waste gold. Besides Victor is a good hero, just not that great to start with.

As far as other heroes to consider when expanding your personal army, mages can make rather effective decks for fairly cheap specifically Eldawen, Majiya and Raikka. I'd avoid the weapon based heroes until you have built up your gold a lot because they are really expensive to make.
