Nishaven Homunculus deck? Is it viable?

Hi! I am a "new" player (downloaded the game years ago, played a bit, then started playing again recently -- level 9 at the moment)

I am interested in the Mage class for now. I have Eladwen Frostmire, which is the Mage I use the most. I also have Aramia, Majiya (not enough cards yet for a deck) and Nishaven.

I do not have most of the Homunculus cards yet, but before I start spending my gold, I would appreciate feedback on whether a Nishaven/Homunculus deck is viable. I found a thread somewhere on here but it is several years old and things may have changed.

    Thanks in advance!

Well anything immune to electrical damge is good with nish. Hes a tough hero to play as though. There are some houmncs that are immune to electrical damage and fortified wisp would only take 2 damge from nish ability.

Homunc.Portal Nish was pretty decent in the early days of LL, before Irum: Lightning Quarry got nerfed. Don't see Nishaven much now, but Homunculus on the human side are fairly strong IMO and Nish has synergy with some of them, so why not?

Remember the threat of a board wipe can be more effective than a board wipe.

The problem I find with Nisshaven (and any hero that affects allies or for that matter) is that a thinking opponent will adapt their strategy to counter it and make your skill that much less effective. I like skills that buff your team up much better, because your opponent cant really counter it anyway. For example I used to be afraid of Boris but I realized that he can't target my allies if they're being protected. So I can either put protector on an ally that costs more than 5 or I can put it on an ally I don't care as much about. Against Nisshaven if I unload all my weenies on the board when he has 4 SE, well then I deserve to lose.

    Check out this deck: http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....culus-Nishaven
It is pretty good in general, but maybe the others are right that the meta is not good for him. Personally I don't know, but having tried this deck in tournaments I can say it is very good as a starting point

    Shameless plug

Deck got harder to use since Irum nerf. Troll nerf hurt it as well so I would prob go -2 troll and -2 Spontanous growth for +3 Seductres or something else to help with control. Retreat/Transmog Curse is good addition as well to deal with Brax Soldier.
